This supremely attractive and nicely struck for the type example is complimented with a rich golden luster an overall bright complexion. RARELY encountered in this grade, this charmer is surpassed by only one example on the NGC registry, and as such is a certainty to receive a premium bid." This type was struck 1600-05 as part of a short lived monetary reform. The ''albertin d'or'' was two-thirds of a ducat. The ''double albertin d'or'' is shown here. It was replaced after 1612 by the ''souverain d'or.'' Albert and Isabella were regents for Philip III in the Netherlands.
