This specimen was lot 10328 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €216 (about US$225). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 8 Skilling, 1713. Gluckstadt Mint. Frederik IV. NGC AU-53. Scarce date. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." The SCWC states this type was struck 1711-13 with initials "IW", which we don't see on this specimen. The "D.M.A." on the reverse stands for "DOMINVS MIHI ADIVTOR", meaning "Aid me O Lord". Frederick IV was king of Denmark and duke of Schleswig-Holstein. Eight skilling were also struck in Norway in 1713; those bear the crossed hammers mintmark of the Kongsberg mint.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 3.057 g, 0.562 fine silver, 20.8 mm diameter, plain edge.
Catalog reference: KM-3; Hede-58; Sieg-56; Schou-7; Bruun-7407.
