This specimen was lot 38076 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $145. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 8 Skillings, 1701-DMA. Copenhagen Mint. Frederik IV. NGC MS-62." The initials "·D·M·A·" are not a mintmark but the king's motto, "DOMINUS MIHI ADIUTOR". This type was struck 1700-05. Twelve of these made a specie daler.
