This specimen was lot 24200 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. 50 Centesimi, 1925-R. NGC MS-63. Reeded Edge. Lightly toned." This type was issued in large numbers 1919-25 but mintages for 1926-35 were for presentation only, much like the twenty lire. The SCWC only lists these late issues in uncirculated. The reeded edge variety has a catalog value forty times the plain edge variety.
