Sincona sale 95, lot 4046

This specimen was lot 4046 in Sincona sale 95 (Zurich, October 2024), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$166 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Basel, Stadt und Kanton, Dicken 1635, Basel. Sehr schön. (Switzerland, canton of Basel, dicken of 1635, Basel mint. Very Fine.)"

The dicken was 24 kreuzer or 4/15 of a thaler. This type is listed for 1623, 1632-36.
