This specimen was lot 689 in Stephen Album sale 39 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $204. The catalog description[1] noted, "AFSHARID: Shahrukh, 1755-1796, AR rupi, Mashhad, AH1187, fabulous strike, EF, R." This type was struck at Mashhad mint AH 1186-1189, 1193-1197. Shahrukh had three reigns, being overthrown twice, this is from the third.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 11.50 g, silver, this specimen 11.58 g.
