This type was struck in 1936 at Paris, France. Other dates such as 1901 and 1909 were also struck at Paris. Uruguayan coinage was sporadic in the early twentieth century and many issues are rare; this one is common. There are similar two and five centésimos (KM 20, KM 21).
Recorded mintage: 2,000,000.
