This specimen was lot 3413 in Goldberg sale 90 (Los Angeles, January 2016), where it sold for $106.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "China. 20 Yuan, 2001. Panda walking left through bamboo. Choice Brilliant Uncirculated." The Chinese government has, since the mid 1980's, produced a mind boggling array of bullion related collectibles. A complete set is thousands of types yet buyers clamor for more. This type was also issued in 2002.

Recorded mintage: 200,000.

Specification: 1.56 g, .999 fine gold, .050 troy oz AGW.
