This specimen was lot 31787 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $381.88. The catalog description[1] noted, "Adolf Frederick I 1/8 Riksdaler 1767-AL, AU55 NGC. Silvery-gray surfaces with somewhat streaky toning, a nicely struck coin with no adjustment marks. Scarce and underrated type. Ex: 'Colonel' E.H.R. Green; Green Estate' Partnership of Eric P Newman/B.G. Johnson." This short-lived denomination was issued 1767-68 only and was superseded by the sixth and third riksdaler.
