This specimen was lot 3308 in Sincona sale 23 (Zurich, May 2015), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$251 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"UNGARN, Franz II. (I.), 1792-1835 Konventionstaler 1814 G. Nagybanya. Vorzüglich-FDC. (kingdom of Hungary, Francis II (1792-1835), convention thaler of 1814, Nagybánya mint, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"
This type was struck 1811-15 at various mints, including Vienna (mintmark "A"), Kremnitz (mintmark "B"), Hermannstadt (mintmark "C") and Günzburg (in Hungary, mintmark "G", shown here). Some of the dates are rare but this one seems to be slightly scarce. Thalers were struck to this standard until 1856, then replaced by a smaller coin struck 1857-68.
