The first specimen was lot 606 in Stack's Coin Galleries sale (New York, October 2010), where it sold for $218.50. The catalog description[1] noted,
"GREAT BRITAIN. George III, 1760-1820. Last Coinage. Shilling, 1816. MS-63 (NGC). Shilling, 1816. Old head r. Rv. Arms in Garter. MS-63 (NGC)."
The type was struck 1816-20 and features the bust of George III, by then subject to the regency of his son the Prince of Wales.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 5.655 g, 0.925 fine silver, .168 troy oz ASW.
