This specimen was part of lot 36564 in Heritage sale 3038 (Dallas, January 2015), which sold for $399.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Four Scarce Issues from a 1971 Mint Set as Follows: 5, 15, 20, and, 50 Kopecks, KM-Y129a, Y131, Y132, and Y133a.2. All are Uncirculated, the 5 Kopecks with some spotting. All four are very scarce issues." This type was issued 1961-91 and is very common but the 1971 is part of a run of scarce dates (1965, 1970-71, 1975).

Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.

Specification: 4.4 g, copper-nickel-zinc, 24.05 mm diameter.
