This specimen was lot 281 in Nomisma Aste e-live-auction 3 (Verona, Italy, May 2023), where it sold for 50 euro (about US$65 including buyer's fees). The lot description noted, "Stato pontificio, Innocenzo XI (1676-1689) Grosso - SPL/qSPL. (Papal States, Innocent XI, 1676-89, grosso, about uncirculated.)" The grosso was one twentieth of a scudo. The reverse motto, "NOCET MINVS" ("IT HURTS LESS") also appears on KM 465 and KM 466, both dated 1685. This undated grosso corresponds to KM 467 but has a different cartouche than that shown in the SCWC. It has a modest catalog value.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 1.34 g, 0.917 fine silver, this specimen 1,57 g.
