This specimen was lot 72499 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $600. The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Australia|AUSTRALIA]]. Shilling, 1912. London Mint. George V. NGC AU-58. A more desired date in the series, the present example offers a good strike along with a lustrous surface complexion. Escaping ugly marking or handling, this piece is certain to capture much attention." The type was struck 1911-36 at London (this specimen), Melbourne and Heaton. The 1912 is a better date.

This type was struck 1911-36 at London (shown here), Heaton, Sydney and Melbourne. The dates prior to the late twenties are available up through Very Fine.
