This specimen was lot 1154 in the Eliasberg sale, where it sold for $1,725. The catalog description[1] noted, "1746 6,400 reis. Rio mint. AU-58 (NGC). Types as above. Bright yellow gold with abundant lustre and some scattered hairlines, very close to Mint State. Choice eye appeal for the grade. From the John H. Clapp Collection; Clapp estate to Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr., 1942." This type was struck 1732-50.
