This specimen was lot 3603 in Sincona sale 9 (Zürich, October 2012), where it sold for 1400 CHF (about US$1,771 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BRASILIEN João V. 1706-1750. 6400 Reis 1747, Rio. Kl. Kr. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Brazil, John V, 1706-50, 6400 réis of 1747, Rio mint. Cleaned, very fine to extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1732-50.

Specification: 14.34 g, 0.917 fine gold, .423 troy oz AGW; this specimen 14,23 g.
