Sincona sale 86, lot 1835

This specimen was lot 1835 in Sincona sale 86 (Zurich, October 2023), where it sold for 48,000 CHF (about US$64,637 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Elizabeth II. 1952-2022. Proof 800 Pounds 2017, Royal Mint Llantrisant. Britannia 30 oz gold. Only 21 pieces struck. NGC PF70 ULTRA CAMEO. With original box and certificate. No. 9 of 21 limited edition presentations."

We don't know if this bizarre denomination was issued again.

Specification: 933.15 g, 0.999 fine gold.
