This coin was minted in Mexico City in 1931. This specimen was lot 2520 in Goldberg sale 60 (Beverly Hills, September 2010), where it sold for $1,587. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Mexico. 50 Pesos, 1931. Centennial of Independence. Winged Victory. Second lowest mintage of series. NGC graded MS-63." The type was struck 1921-47. No date is rare but the 1931 obtains a slight premium.

Recorded mintage: 137,000.

Specification: 41.67 g, 0.900 fine gold, 1.205 troy oz AGW, 37 mm diameter.
