This specimen was part of lot 35385 in Heritage sale 3038 (Dallas, January 2015), which sold for $329. The catalog description[1] noted, "Republic Lot of Ten silver Carrera Pesos, Various dates and grades. Average grade is VF. All with portrait of Carrera. From The Santa Maria Collection." Silver pesos with the portrait of el Presidente were struck 1859-71 in various styles, KM 182 being listed for 1862-65. On his death, the obverse legend was changed to "FUNDADOR" (Founder) instead of President.

Recorded mintage: unknown but a better date.

Specification: 27 g, 0.903 fine silver, .783 troy oz ASW.
