This specimen was lot 71078 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. 1/4 Pahlavi, SH1335 (1956). NGC MS-66. A better date. Fully struck with soft satin luster." This type was struck SH1332-1336 and is slightly scarcer than the subsequent type of SH1336-1352, which was 16 mm diameter.
Recorded mintage: 41,000.
Specification: 2.03 g, .900 fine gold, 14 mm diameter.
