This specimen was lot 2659 in Stephen Album sale 41 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2021), where it sold for $288. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN: Muhammad Reza Shah, 1941-1979, AV ¼ pahlavi, SH1334, NGC graded MS64." This type was struck SH1332-1336 and is slightly scarcer than the subsequent type of SH1336-1352, which was 16 mm diameter. This is the most common of the five dates.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 2.03 g, 0.900 fine gold, 14 mm diameter.
