This specimen was lot 71079 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN. 1/4 Pahlavi, SH1344 (1965). NGC MS-66. Good strike with soft satin luster." This type was struck SH1336-1352 and is slightly more common than the preceding type of SH1332-1336, which was 14 mm diameter.
Recorded mintage: 30,000.
Specification: 2.03 g, 0.900 fine gold, 16 mm diameter.
