This specimen was lot 33253 in Heritage sale 3073 (Chicago, April 2019), where it sold for $132. The catalog description[1] noted, "Othon 2 Lepta 1848 XF40 Brown NGC, Athens mint. From the Engelen Collection of World Coinage." This type was struck 1847-49. This specimen realized one fifth of the catalog value. King Otto, originally a Bavarian princeling, fell foul of the local politicians and was forced to abdicate in 1863.
