This specimen was lot 10611 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $15,275. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND. Danzig. Taler, 1577. PCGS Genuine--Devices Engraved, EF Details Secure Holder. A RARE type coin with decent eye appeal. Sharp with some re-engraving of the details noted under inspection. Struck during the siege of Stephan Bathory. From the Katherine Gordon Kron Collection of Revolutionary Coins and Currency." At the time this coin was issued, Danzig was a German city only loosely under Polish rule.
