Sincona sale 46, lot 287

This specimen was lot 287 in Sincona sale 46 (Zurich, May 2018), where it sold for 310 CHF (about US$372 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Württemberg, Königreich, Wilhelm II. 1891-1918. 20 Mark 1894 F, Stuttgart. Vorzüglich-FDC. (kingdom of Württemberg, William II, 1891-1918, twenty mark of 1894, Stuttgart mint. Extremely fine-uncirculated.)"

This type is common and is a product of the Stuttgart mint (mintmark "F"). This is the first year of issue.

Recorded mintage: 501,000.

Specification: 7.96 g, .900 fine gold, .230 troy oz AGW, this specimen 7.95 g.
