Sincona sale 65, lot 283

This specimen was lot 283 in Sincona sale 65 (Zurich, October 2020), where it sold for 300 CHF (about US$395 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"3 Kopecks 1875, Ekaterinburg Mint, EM. Rare in this condition. NGC MS63. (3 копейки 1875. Екатеринбургский МД, ЕМ. Биткин 410. Редкие в такой сохранности. В слабе NGC MS63.)"

This type was struck 1867-75. It is the last issue from this mint.

Recorded mintage: 3,595,000, a common date.

Specification: 10.25 g, copper, 28.36 mm diameter.
