This specimen was lot 149 in Sincona sale 75 (Zurich, May 2022), where it sold for 36,000 CHF (about US$43,697 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Grossbritannien | Königreich. Charles II. 1660-1685. 2 Guineas 1684, London. Second laureate bust, with elephant and castle below. Selten. NGC MS61. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (Rare, Magnificent condition.)"

This type was struck 1675-84. There is a similar type (KM 443.1) struck during the same years (including 1684) without the elephant and castle added below the king's bust; this marked gold obtained from Africa.
