This specimen was part of lot 24611 in Heritage sale 3030 (New York, January 2014), which sold for $1,175. The catalog description[1] noted, "Vittorio Emanuele III nickel Mint Set 1926-R, [comprising] 1) 20 Centesimi, MS62 NGC...2) 50 Centesimi...3) Lira, MS63 NGC. A rare set with all examples remaining untoned. From The Formosa Collection." This type was issued in large numbers 1919-25 but mintages for 1926-35 were for presentation only, much like the twenty lire. The SCWC only lists these late issues in uncirculated.

Specification: 6 g, nickel, 24 mm diameter, with plain (KM 61.1) or reeded (KM 61.2) edge.
