This specimen was lot 30220 in Heritage sale 3042 (Long Beach, September 2015), where it sold for $2,820. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Holland. Provincial Lion 1/2 Daalder 1605/4 MS63 NGC, A singular survivor of this series, particularly in this phenomenal state of preservation. A superb strike is paired here with lustrous and nearly unmarked surfaces. Very rare thus." Half lion daalders were struck in most of the provinces that today make up the Netherlands. This type is recorded in the SCWC for Holland for 1601-53 with various mintmarks.

Recorded mintage: unknown but not expensive in low grade.
