Aureo sale 232, lot 1208

The specimen shown was lot 1208 in Aureo y Calico sale 232 (Barcelona, March 2011), where it sold for 70 euros (about US$115 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

Carlos II (1665-1700). 1682. Barcelona. 1 croat. MBC/MBC+. (Charles II, 1665-1700, croat of 1682, Barcelona mint, very fine.)

The croat, or real, was struck in Barcelona 1667-88 and is not listed as expensive in low grade.
