This specimen was lot 810 in Sincona sale 63 (Zurich, June 2020), where it sold for 140 CHF (about US$176 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, <blockquote>"''Frankreich, konigreich, Louis XV. 1715-1774. 1/4 Ecu Vertugadin 1716 M, Toulouse. Réformation. Sehr schön. Leicht justiert.'' (kingdom of [[France]], Louis XV, 1715-74, quarter ''écu vertugadin'' of 1716, Toulouse mint, reformed. Very fine, Minor adjustment marks.)"</blockquote> Droulers[2] notes that all known examples are struck "flan reformés," i.e., over earlier types. The type was struck until 1718, when it was replaced by the ''quart d'écu de France et Navarre''. It is priced lower than its sister, the [[France 1716-W ecu|''écu vertugadin'']], tho much scarcer.
