This specimen was lot 40737 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $3,055. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND. 10 Zlotych (1 1/2 Rubles), 1835-HT. NGC MS-63. Toned and very attractive." This issue was struck 1833-41 in St. Petersburg while Poland was under Russian rule (1815-1918). Ten zlotych equaled one and a half rubles. Russian coinage for Poland ended in 1841.
