This specimen was lot 22353 in Stack's Bowers 2018 NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE. 2 Reales, 1787-SoDA. Charles III (1759-88). PCGS VF-35 Secure Holder. Toned." Harris[2] tabulates the Charles III two reales of Santiago as the fourth most abundant mint, after Mexico City (common), Potosi and Lima (each about half as common as Mexico) but it is still scarce.
