This specimen was lot 30286 in Heritage sale 3040 (Chicago, April 2015), where it sold for $3,055. The catalog description[1] noted, "West Friesland. Provincial gold 6 Stuivers 1755 MS62 NGC. A luminous selection with vivid, amber luster, featuring the ever-popular clipper ship motif. The devices are boldly-defined and showcase an exceptional amount of detail and the surfaces exhibit very light handling. A relatively scarce example, highly-coveted in mint-state." The six stuivers denomination, with its handsome ship design, was normally struck in silver but occasionally struck in gold, probably for presentation on special occasions. The silver piece is called a scheepjesschilling ("ship shilling") in Dutch.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 7 g, gold (same weight as a double ducat).

Catalog reference: KM102.2a (unlisted date).
