This specimen was lot 10748 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. Zurich. 40 Batzen, 1813-B. Lightly toned with much underlying luster. ALMOST UNCIRCULATED." This is the only thaler struck by Zurich during the nineteenth century. It comes in three varieties: with no engraver's initial (shown here), with a "B" on the obverse (KM 190) and with a "B" on the reverse (KM 191). Davenport lumps them together as Dav-366.
