Sincona sale 97, lot 3445

This specimen was lot 3445 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 3,250 CHF (about US$4,714 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Halbdukat 1702, Zürich. Selten. Vorzüglich. Knickspur. (Switzerland, city and canton of Zürich, half ducat of 1702, Zürich mint. Rare, Extremely Fine, Bent.)"

This rare type is listed for 1702 only. Later half ducats, also catalogued as Fr-487 by Friedberg, had "DOMINE/CONSERVA/NOS IN PACE" on the reverse.
