This specimen was lot 34297 in Heritage sale 3049 (Long Beach, September 2016), where it sold for $376. The catalog description[1] noted, "Zurich. City Taler 1559 AU53 NGC, Zürich mint, Hans Gutenson as mintmaster. A deeply toned and wholly original example, well-struck for the type on an above-average planchet. From the Redwood Collection, Part II." Davenport lists this type with numerous varieties for 1558-61.
