This specimen was lot 5093 in Sincona sale 83 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 400 CHF (about US$535 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND Zug, Schilling 1784, Zug. Vorzüglich. (canton of Zug, schilling of 1784, Zug mint. Extremely fine)." The SCWC lists this type for 1784 only. Like many low denomination coins, it is common in low grade but rare in choice condition, no contemporaries thinking it worth hoarding.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: billon, this specimen 1.24 g.
