This specimen was lot 3083 in Steve Album Auction 54 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2026), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "ZAMBIA: Republic, AR 4000 kwacha, 2001, illusionary painting by Sandro del Prete, square planchet struck in pure silver, Proof. Sandro del Prete (born 1937) is a Swiss artist who creates illusionary and surrealistic paintings. His style has been compared to M. C. Escher in the similarity to the latter's mathematical precision." Other NCLT's of this denomination issued for Zambia in 2001 include KM 85, 110, 111, 112, 113, 166, 275, 280, 343 and 344. As of March 2026, US$1 = 19,380 kwacha.
