This specimen was lot 47832 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $145. The catalog description[1] noted, "ZAMBIA. Silvered Brass 500 Kwacha, 1995. PCGS PROOF-65 Deep Cameo. On equality." The production coin was made from commercially pure silver; this example's brass composition and light weight suggests a trial strike. This denomination was used for several other NCLT's in 1995, including KM 225, 226, 227, 228, 229, 230, 231, 232, 233.

Specification: 223 g, 0.999 fine silver, 75.15 mm diameter, this specimen 185.53 g.
