Steve Album sale 51, lot 1190

This specimen was lot 1190 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $600. The catalog description[1] noted, "YUGOSLAVIA: Alexander I, 1921-1934, AR 20 dinara, London, 1931, a wonderful example, PCGS graded MS64." Tho struck at Belgrade in 1931 only, this type is common. This example realized seventeen times the catalog value. It was demonetized in 1940.

Recorded mintage: 12,500,000.

Specifications: 14 g, 0.500 fine silver, 31 mm diameter.
