Steve Album sale 51, lot 3357

This specimen was lot 3357 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $600. The catalog description[1] noted, "YUGOSLAVIA: Peter I, 1918-1921, 5 para, 1920, a lovely example, PCGS graded MS63." In 1920, the country was still titled the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes and was not named Yugoslavia until 1929. This zinc ten para was accompanied by a ten para (KM 2) and twenty-five para (KM 3). It was demonetized in 1932. This example realized thirteen times the catalog value.

Recorded mintage: 3,825,514 at Vienna.

Specifications: 2.6 g, zinc, 18.8 mm diameter, plain edge, engraved by Joseph Prinz.
