This specimen was lot 75707 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for $145. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRELAND. Wicklow. Cronebane. Copper 1/2 Penny Token, 1789. PCGS MS-64 Brown. Obverse: Bust of Saint Patrick right; Reverse: Miners' Arms. From the Richard Margolis Collection." Cronebane was the site of copper mines in county Wicklow in the 1780's. Irish trade tokens are much less plentiful than those of England.
