Künker sale 335, lot 4421

This specimen was lot 4421 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabruck, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €1,400 (about US$1,832 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"WALDECK, GRAFSCHAFT, SEIT 1713 FÜRSTENTUM. Friedrich, 1763-1812. Konv.-Taler 1781, Arolsen. R Min. Schrötlingsfehler, vorzüglich. (Germany, principality of Waldeck, Frederick, 1763-1812, convention thaler of 1781, Arolsen mint. Scarce, hairlines, extremely fine.)"

This was the first thaler issued for this state since 1752.
