This specimen was lot 2619 in Sincona sale 13 (Zürich, October 2013), where it sold for 650 CHF (about US$841 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Venedig Marco Foscarini, 1762-1763, Zecchino o. J. Selten. Sehr schön (Venice, doge Marco Foscarini, 1762-1763, zecchino without date. Rare, very fine)."
This type is among the more scarce types issued in Venice during the eighteenth century. The issue of Ludovico Marin (1789-97) ended the series as the Republic was occupied by Napoleon and traded by him to Austria in exchange for Milan.
