This specimen was lot 2724 in Goldberg sale 100 (Los Angeles, September 2017), where it sold for $329. The catalog description[1] noted, "Italian States: Venice. Scudo of 140 Soldi, ND. Giovanni Corner, 1625-1629. Mintmaster, FM. Lion in shield. Reverse: Cross. Sharply struck with a trace of luster. Extremely Fine." The coin does not bear a date but can be dated to 1624-25 by the mintmaster's initials ("FM", for Ferigo da Molin). The type is known for 1624-29. The silver scudo had a face value of 140 soldi.
