This specimen was part of lot 31276 in Heritage sale 3081 (New York, January 2020), which sold for $2,880. The catalog description[1] noted, "Venezuela: Republic 3-Piece gold & silver Proof "Conservation" Set 1975, 1) "Jaguar" 25 Bolivares, KM-Y46; 2) "Giant Armadillo" 50 Bolivares; 3) gold "Cock of the Rock" 1000 Bolivares - PR69 Ultra Cameo NGC, KM-Y48. Detailed wings. British Royal mint. An immaculate Proof trio, the gold piece certified as near-perfect. From the ever popular Conservation Series." The conservation series of 1975 also included a 25 bolivares featuring the armadillo (KM Y46) and a thousand bolivares featuring the cock of the rock (KM Y48).
