Venezuela 1975 25 bolivares

Stack's Bowers 2019 Collector's Choice sale, lot 72959

This specimen was lot 72959 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2019), where it sold for $65. The catalog description^[1] noted, "VENEZUELA. 25 Bolivares, 1975. London Mint. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Conservation series. Mintage: 8,000 (estimated). Featuring a jaguar, this brilliant proof issue offers perfect surfaces and frosted cameo devices." The conservation series of 1975 also included a fifty bolivares featuring the armadillo (KM Y47) and a thousand bolivares featuring the cock of the rock (KM Y48).

Recorded mintage: 38,000 plus about 8,000 proofs.
