This specimen was lot 7378 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it sold for $423. The catalog description[1] noted, "VENEZUELA. 5 Bolivares, 1912. NGC AU-53. Deep toning with iridescent highlights. Well struck and lustrous." This type is noted for 1901-36 and this is not a rare date but like most of the early issues of Venezuela, very scarce in nice condition.
Recorded mintage: 696,000 including narrow and wide date (no premium).
Specification: 25 g, 0.900 fine silver, 37 mm diameter.
