This specimen was lot 43607 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "VENEZUELA. 10 Centavos, 1876-A. Paris Mint. NGC AU-55. Variety with serifed "A" in mintmark." This issue is the scarcer of two dates for the type (1874-A being the other). Varieties exist in the style and location of the mintmark. In 1879, the venezolano was dropped in favor of the five bolivares and this denomination became a half bolivar. It was struck in that form until 1936.

Specification: 2.5 g, 0.835 fine silver, 0.067 oz ASW.
